Not sure where to grab a sundowner drink? We want to introduce you to our 5 favourite outside summer drink locations, that you might not think of at first.
NO. 1 - Keile Café
Keile Café can be found in Rotterdam-West and is the perfect location when you want to escape the crowded city for a while. And who doesn’t enjoy a 20min bike ride in the sun along the Maas?☀️🚲 The terrace offers a rocked beer garden vibe, with self-service for drinks and snacks, such as pizzas, antipasti, focaccia, or sardines. The highlight is that you can not only sit on beer benches but also on wooden stairs to have the perfect overview of the place, or you can lie down in a few hammocks to fully relax. In the evening you can dance along to a set of house music played by a DJ. It is a place you should definitely check out; either on your own or with a group of friends!

NO. 2 - Fenix Food Factory
Fenix Food Factory is located on the other side of the Erasmus bridge from Rotterdam City. Inside, you can stroll around different stands, offering a variation of products. You will find the Booij cheese makers for traditional raw milk cheeses, Jordan’s Bakery for good bread and coffee, the Cape-Brewers for craft beers with a variety of flavours, Happy Wines for natural wines from Europe, and the Soda Pop Shop for experimental sodas and cocktails🍹. In between these food and drink-related offers, the bookshop Bosch & Jong can be found. In addition, the market kitchen offers fresh, wide-ranging meals. So, we are sure that there is something for everyone to like. Outside, the terrace is the most appealing due to the location right next to the water and the very colourful set-up with benches and fairy lights. That’s a colour choice that we as true rebels love!🧡

NO. 3 - Garden of BIRD
Most of you might know the restaurant and club Bird which offers wide-ranging music programming, including hip-hop, jazz, afrobeat or electronics. Right around the corner at the Luchtpark Hofbogen, you can find the Garden of Bird, which can be described as a natural oasis in the middle of the city. The garden is kinda small, making the atmosphere even more comfy and special. You can sit on a bench or relax on the grass or on beach chairs to enjoy the sun ☀️. In the evenings, you can gather at a high table for some drinks and vibe to the DJ’s summer music. Special tip for a guaranteed dance night: Latin Thursdays with free entrance 💃🏽. Check it out!

NO. 4 - Maaskantine
The Maaskantine is located on the bank of the Maas, with a natural beach with lounge chairs and benches along the water. Even though the location is close to the city centre, it is much calmer, and you have an amazing view on the water. As Erasmus University and the popular area Kralingen is close by Maaskantine is popular among students. BBQ food and tasty beer and cocktails are offered 🍔🍻. The highlight in June is the Maas Open Air, a river-side electronic music festival during the day. The best opportunity to start the summer!

NO. 5 - Proeflokaal Reijngoud
Reijngoud is a beer café at the corner of Schiedamse Vest and Witte de With. So, for those of you who are too lazy to leave the city centre, this is the right location in the heart of Rotterdam. Because of its spacious terrace, the chances are high that you can secure a spot to enjoy the nice weather with your friends. The highlight of Reijngoud is the variation of beer that is offered 🍺. If you haven't found your favourite beer yet, this is your place to try some unusual types.
