Frequently Asked Questions

In recent years there have been major developments in terms of listening to music. Where you used to have to place your favourite CD in the stereo system to enjoy it, you can now easily stream your Spotify list to your Bluetooth speaker.

You can connect a wireless Bluetooth speaker to your phone or tablet. The speaker plays the sound of the device it is connected to. For example, if you play music on your phone via Spotify, this music can be heard on the Bluetooth speaker.

Is the device connected to the Bluetooth speaker too far from the speaker or is the device out of power? Then the speaker automatically stops playing the music.

When your new speaker has arrived, you can of course no longer wait to enjoy your favourite songs extra hard. But before you can sing the lungs out of your body, the speaker must first be connected to your phone or tablet. We’ll explain how to connect the Bluetooth speaker to your phone in 3 steps.

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone

Open the settings and tap on Bluetooth. See if Bluetooth is already on or not. If it is still off, turn it on manually by moving the slider to the other side. You do this by tapping it once.

2. Turn on the Bluetooth speaker

Turn on your new speaker. A new Bluetooth speaker will always start up in pairing mode. This is the mode in which the speaker searches for new devices to connect to. Older models sometimes have to be put into pairing mode manually by pressing the Bluetooth button. If the speaker has been connected to another device before, you will have to activate the pairing mode manually. You do this by pressing the Bluetooth button on the speaker.

3. Link your phone to the speaker

Hold the phone near the speaker and wait until the speaker appears in your Bluetooth list under 'other devices'. As soon as the name of the speaker appears in the list, you can tap it and the phone will connect to the Bluetooth speaker.

* Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone beforehand.

1. Turn on the first speaker

Turn on the first speaker. You will find the on/off button on the side of the speaker.

2. Turn on the second speaker

Turn on the second speaker. You will find the on/off button on the side of the speaker.

3. Prepare the first speaker for pairing

Click twice briefly on the Bluetooth button of the second speaker. You will then hear a 'bleep' as confirmation that the two speakers are properly connected. The LED light will then turn purple.

4. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and connect it to the speaker that will be visible in your Bluetooth list. You will hear a 'beep' when they are paired.

The technology of a Bluetooth speaker is completely different from that of a speaker that you connect with, for example, an aux cable. Bluetooth speakers work with software and hardware and a connection via radio waves.

There are a number of factors that can cause noise on the Bluetooth line:

  1. The Bluetooth speaker is used too close to Wi-Fi routers, kitchen appliances, PCs, or other Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth devices can be affected by the radio waves from these products.
  2. The Bluetooth speaker is carried in a breast pocket, trouser pocket or bag. The human body then forms a Bluetooth obstacle.
  3. The Bluetooth speaker is too far from the phone or other paired device.
  4. When a protective cover consisting of metal objects or thick materials is used.
  5. When music is played via internet connection.
  6. Playing large music files.
  7. When there are many apps running at the time of use.

Does the speaker continue to cut out? Restart both the speaker and the connected device. Make a Bluetooth connection again and check whether the Bluetooth speaker is still cutting out.

  2. Open the Google Home app and select the correct home.
  3. Tap and hold the tile of your Bluetooth device.
  4. Next, tap Settings → Audio
  5. Tap default music speaker → Pair Bluetooth speaker. The Google Home will now search for Bluetooth devices.
  6. Tap the Bluetooth speaker as soon as you see it appear on the screen.
